College of Business

Established the UHV Nonprofit Center, which operates through a partnership with the United Way of the Crossroads and offers affordable resources and trainings to the region’s nonprofit organizations.

College of Education & Health Professions

UHV partnered with Victoria College to create a Concurrent Nursing program that allows students to work toward earning BSN degrees from UHV at the same time that they earn their RN from VC. We are also working to expand the program to Wharton County Junior College.

College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences

The college hosted a lecture series that was funded by the National Endowment for the Humanities that supports the university in developing minors in gender and women’s studies, race and ethnic studies and disability studies.

College of Natural & Applied Science

Area high school and middle school students participated in STEM summer camps, and UHV Math & Robotics Awareness Day was attended by 167 students from 10 high schools.

SACSCOC Accreditation

During the spring semester, the university hosted the SACSCOC On-Site Review Team, marking the culmination of three years of dedicated work by dozens of faculty and staff members to prepare for reaccreditation. The visit concluded with a report of “no recommendations,” affirming that the committee found the university fully compliant with all accreditation standards. The final reaccreditation announcement will be made in December at the annual SACSCOC meeting.
